Hi! I'm Lori!
I am a true memory collector with a passion for documenting life. I collect everything from photos (of course), to ticket stubs, to years of scribble artwork from my oldest (and now adding to that collection from my youngest eek), to letters and notes, and all things that take me back to a moment in time… This might make me a borderline hoarder? LOL.
I am a bit shy (maybe an introverted people person?), love to laugh, speak sarcasm (fluently), and just enjoy soaking up life. Full-time boss mom with two “littles” of my own, five + twenty (it is as crazy as that sounds). Based out of the Dallas area and collecting memories around the entire DFW metroplex as well as the Rio Grande Valley (South Padre Island anyone?), where parts of my heart reside.
I was a mother at seventeen. Became a widow at eighteen. And lost a beloved at twenty.
With that in mind, my focus as your newborn and family photographer is to document your story - your memories. Just as it is. Right now. Because one day, these moments will be the last... tomorrow everyone will be a little bit older... and memories will be all you have. The photos you'll look to will be the ones that take you back to this moment in time. Where you can almost hear their laughter, remember the way their hands (little or big) held onto you, quirky smiles that (believe me) you'll never want to forget, and all the precious details in between. Believe me when I say, I know firsthand how fleeting time can be. I know what it is like to only be left with memories... And when photographs are all that is left to tell a life’s story. I urge everyone to not just take photos (professional or not) but to print them out as well, for these very reasons. For when time has flown by and all that is left are the photographs... I assure you, they'll be priceless.
I truly believe in, and love, what I do.
“…for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” (Matt. 6:21)
